Ingredients:
- 1 box of chocolate cake mix
- 1 cup of water
- 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
- 3 eggs
- 24 mini Snickers bars
- 1/2 cup of caramel sauce
- 1 cup of unsalted butter, softened
- 4 cups of powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup of milk
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- Chocolate syrup optional, for drizzling
- Chopped peanuts optional, for garnish
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350F 175C and line a cupcake pan with cupcake liners
Prepare the chocolate cake batter according to the instructions on the box, using the water, vegetable oil, and eggs
Fill each cupcake liner halfway with the chocolate batter
Place a mini Snickers bar into the center of each cupcake, pressing it down slightly
Top each Snickers bar with a small spoonful of caramel sauce
Cover the caramel-filled Snickers with more chocolate batter until the cupcake liners are 2/3 full
Bake in the preheated oven for about 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the cupcakes comes out clean
Allow the cupcakes to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely
While the cupcakes cool, prepare the frosting
In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy
Gradually add the powdered sugar, milk, vanilla extract, and salt, and continue to beat until the frosting is smooth and fluffy
Once the cupcakes are completely cool, frost them with the buttercream frosting using a piping bag or a spatula
If desired, drizzle chocolate syrup over the frosted cupcakes and garnish with chopped peanuts
Serve and enjoy your delicious Snicker Cupcakes with a caramel surprise!
