Margherita Pizza



A classic Margherita Pizza with a thin and crispy crust, rich tomato sauce, melted mozzarella cheese, and fresh basil leaves. Perfect for a cozy Friday night dinner!

Ingredients:

  • 1 pizza dough
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 10-12 fresh basil leaves
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 475F 245C

Roll out the pizza dough into a round shape on a floured surface to your desired thickness

Transfer the dough to a pizza stone or a baking sheet lined with parchment paper

Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust

Sprinkle the minced garlic over the sauce

Evenly distribute the shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the sauce

Season with salt and pepper to taste

Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned

Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool slightly

Tear the fresh basil leaves and scatter them over the hot pizza

Drizzle olive oil over the top, slice, and serve hot
